Food safety and quality assurance are required in the food industry due to changing global patterns of food production, international trade, and consumer protection. The training takes on further significance in light of the fact that India has adopted the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and there is a shortage of food safety officials across the country to ensure its efficient implementation.
The training will prepare students, food industry employees, and food safety officers to deal with a variety of challenges that may arise as a result of the Act’s implementation.
Furthermore, understanding of food safety is required at every food distribution point, particularly in the event of food illness, in order to take proper precautions.
The course will also benefit young entrepreneurs who want to start a business in the food industry by improving their knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and cleanliness. The course includes food microbiology, food chemistry, food legislation and regulations, waste management, and quality management systems, among other topics.
Jobs in the food industry, the foodservice industry, food safety officers, entrepreneurs, and food quality control laboratories are all available.
