HACCP is for hazard analysis and critical control points, and it is a systematic, preventive approach to food safety and allergic, chemical, and biological hazards in manufacturing processes that can lead to dangerous finished products. It also entails putting in place strategies to limit these risks to a manageable level. All food-processing companies must develop a food-safety management system based on the HACCP codex principles. Although HACCP was created for the manufacturing industry, it is now used in the catering and retail industries as well.

The Level 4 International Award in Managing HACCP for Catering is offered by Highfield as the only awarding organisation. A Highfield HACCP qualification will provide learners with a thorough understanding of HACCP principles and ensure the cost-effective implementation of a food safety management system. Food poisoning and food complaints will be reduced as a result of this.

The Highfield Level 2 Award in HACCP for Catering (RQF) is aimed at those working in a food catering environment and other food handlers. The qualification is intended for those already working in HACCP catering teams and those who are preparing to work in the industry.

Duration: 7 Hrs.

This qualification is aimed at individuals working in a food manufacturing environment and those who are preparing to work in the industry. The qualification will be especially useful for those involved in maintaining HACCP in a manufacturing environment, and for those who are or will be part of a HACCP team

The Highfield Level 2 Award in HACCP for Catering (RQF) has been developed and is awarded by Highfield Qualifications and sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The RQF includes those qualifications regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation. It is also suitable for delivery in Wales and is regulated by Qualifications Wales

This qualification has been developed for caterers to gain a better understanding of how HACCP can be simply applied to the catering environment.

Duration: 14 Hrs.

This qualification is aimed at individuals responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP systems and is intended predominantly for learners already working in manufacturing and who have a sound knowledge of food safety hazards and controls.

The Highfield Level 4 Award in HACCP for Management (CODEX Principles) (RQF) is aimed at learners who are working at a management level within food manufacturing and catering environments, quality assurance staff or members of the HACCP team. The qualification would also be useful for trainers, auditors, enforcers, and other food safety professionals.

Duration: 40 Hrs.
